BRIEF OVERVIEW
History
· The English Cricket board developed the game two seasons ago
as an alternative to the traditional one-day format.
· The English and latterly the South Africans have played it at
a domestic level .
· Last season the format was so popular that 100,000 tickets were
pre-sold in England including a sell out at Lords.
The
Game
· Twenty overs per side only taking one hour and fifteen minutes
per innings.
· Maximum 15-minute break between innings.
· Batsmen have 90 seconds to take guard
. No drinks breaks.
· Foot fault no balls are rewarded with a two-run penalty plus
a free hit.
· Four overs per bowler.
· In the event of a tie, a bowl-off will determine a winner.
· Fielding restrictions are lifted after six overs.
· All other one day rules apply.
